What We Do
Valor Evolution was founded by MaKenzie Tiegs, a seasoned paramedic, national speaker, and program developer with over a decade of frontline experience.
In 2014, MaKenzie was awarded the Medal of Valor from the U.S. Department of the Interior, recognizing her courage and dedication in the line of duty. Through years of service on the frontlines, she witnessed firsthand the urgent need for mental health, leadership, and resilience training, both within first responder culture and the communities they serve.
Over time, MaKenzie has evolved as a leader of teams, agencies, and herself, turning her experience into a mission: to build stronger, more emotionally intelligent leaders and more resilient organizations.
Who We Are
Our mission is simple: true leadership begins within. By fostering resilience, emotional intelligence, and courage, we evolve from answering emergency calls to answering the call of community. As a paramedic, MaKenzie has responded to countless suicide and crisis calls — experiences that revealed the urgent need to go upstream. Valor Evolution is committed to lowering suicides and teaching people skills that last a lifetime, equipping individuals and organizations to prevent crises before they happen and build a foundation of strength, connection, and hope.
